OUR VISION
"Helping Every Person We Can, Find Their Place in God's Plan!"
OUR VEHICLE
The vehicle that God has given us to fulfill the vision is to be, "One Church, Meeting in Multiple Locations", through the use of video technology. The Northern Range Campus will be where the live teaching is captured every weekend to be distributed to Crossroads other campuses.
This enables all of our locations to be connected as one, no matter how far apart they are physically. Each Crossroads location has the same dynamic worship experience, with its own "personal touches", including its own live band and campus pastor. People who attend Crossroads Community Church find the quality of a large church with the intimacy and personal interaction of a smaller church.
OUR VALUES
- Lost people matter to God, therefore they matter to us!
- We exist to build people, not programs.
- Living passionately in and for Christ is normal and is demonstrated through life transformation.
- Christ's followers should be real and have a passion to grow.
- Life change happens best through the ministry of the Holy Spirit, relationships and small groups.
- Balance in all areas of life is essential to healthy Christian living
- Every member is a minister who has been given gifts to be discovered, developed and deployed.
- The church must be culturally relevant and biblically accurate.
- We believe in identifying and training emerging leaders who are fully committed to Christ and who will reach this generation with the Gospel.
OUR FOCUS
In order to maximize our impact potential, we have chosen to focus our energy and resources in the following five areas:
- Weekend Worship Experience: Real-to-life teaching and engaging worship.
- Small Groups: Growing and serving in community.
- The Mission: Sharing our lives and resources locally and globally.
- Leadership Development: Increasing our influence through leadership.
- Next Generation Ministry: Investing in our children and students.
OUR BELIEFS
The sole basis for our belief is the Bible, which is uniquely God-inspired, without error, and the final authority on all matters on which it speaks. As the Bible teaches, there is one God, eternally existing in three persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit - each possessing all the attributes of deity. (Psalm 12:6: 119:105, 160; Proverbs 30:5; 2 Timothy 1:13; 3:16:2 Peter 1:20-21)
God is the creator and ruler of the universe. He created humans to have fellowship with Him, but they defied God by sinfully going their own way. As a result, we need God's saving grace to end our alienation from Him. Salvation comes only through God's grace - not human effort - and must be received personally by repentance and faith. (Genesis 1:1,26-27; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19:2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 Peter 1:2)
Jesus Christ, second Person of the Trinity, co-equal with the Father and the Holy Spirit. Jesus entered the human race through a virgin birth. He lived a sinless life on earth and voluntarily paid for our sin by dying on the cross as our substitute. This accomplished salvation for all who receive grace by trusting in Him alone. He rose from the dead and is the only mediator between us and God. He baptizes believers in the Holy Spirit. He will return to earth to consummate history. (Isaiah 9:6; Matthew 1:22-23; John 1:1-5; 14:10-30; Acts 1:9-11; Romans 1:3-4; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4:1 Timothy 6:14-15; Titus 2:13: Hebrews 4:14-15)
The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son as God. He is present in the world to make us aware of our need for Jesus Christ. He also lives within every follower of Christ from the moment of salvation. He provides the believer with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, guidance for doing what is right and boldness to be a witness for Christ. The Christian seeks to live under His control daily. (John 14:16-17; 16:7-13; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 2:12; 3:16: 2 Corinthians 3:17; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 1:13; 5:18)
Salvation is a gift from God to each one of us. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God's offer of forgiveness can one be saved from sin's penalty. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into their life by faith. John 1:12; 14:6; Romans 5:1; 6:23; Galatians 3:26; Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5
The Church exists to glorify God and make him known in all the earth. This is accomplished by focusing on five key priorities in our lives: Worshipping God weekly, connecting with the church regularly, growing in maturity daily, Serving people unselfishly and sharing our faith effectively. (Ephesians 1:22, 2:19-22; Hebrews 12:23; John 17:11, 20-23).
